Into the Depths
The Pale Hills is a region Southwest of the Horn of Frost and just north of the Kadahi Lowlands.
It is called the Pale Hills for two reasons. First, the stone in this region is predominantly limestone, making any exposed cliffs or boulders a pale color. Second, the region’s forests are full of silver birch, grey alder, and a heather with pale white flowers.
The Pale Hills are used predominantly for sheep herding, deer hunting, and the gathering of various plants for dyes and medicines. Most of the inhabitants are human, although there are several small halfling villages among the hills as well.
There are also several Dwarven mining camps along the Pale Hills where they extract and process galena for Lead and Silver.
